My web utils

My favourite web applications.
Mail – Gmail. It was so hard to limit my yahoo mail usage. Just because they don’t give free POP support. Com’on YAHOO, POP support is nothing for you. Give us more happiness.
Instant Messenger – Yahoo. Skype will eventually take over because of better voice and video support. MSN, I hate to use but my Dad has windows 98, so I have no option.

Browser – Firefox. Can’t imagine life without Firefox. So many things I like about firefox that I cannot describe here. My favourite feature is – adding extensions. There are lot of good things good people are creating.

RSS – Google Reader. With the recent face-lift, reader is having all the features I like. This includes sharing.

Mail Client – For POP and IMAP, Thunderbird is my favourite. Seamless integration with my AOL mails and RSS integration are my favourites.

Blogging – No guesses here. WordPress. Nice simple interface is the best feature.

Bookmarking – Diigo rocks. While browsing, I can take notes, bookmark sites, make plans and lots more. All this with one click. Diigo is the most interesting tool I have come across for a long long time.

Bookmarking site – Apart from Diigo, Myweb from Yahoo is very nice and I use it. Del.icio.us is also good but I have not used it extensively.

Web photos – Picasa is nice but I am starting to like AOL PICTURES. You can tag and share photos. They provide unlimited storage.

Video sharing – I have not used too much of this service to upload but Youtube has a lot of good content.

News – Digg is great. Problem is with blog spam and lots of comments from people. I like Google News also.

Favorite Blog – Techcrunch is nice. Very straight forward and simple blogging.

Others – Netvibes.com, Businessweek.com, Google Notebook, Apple.com, Wired News, Bloglines,
